A mental health program for young adults that includes free peer support sessions
A growing number of Americans continue to experience heightened stress and worsening mental health issues. The problem is especially hard on young adults – a vulnerable and often overlooked population.
Here 4 U, a Behavioral Health/Resources For Living program that builds on the success and momentum of our Time For Care work to provide much-needed mental health resources to young adults.
Here 4 U encourages young adults – those aged 18-24 – to seek the mental health they need to understand and cope with depression, stress, anxiety, isolation, and suicidal ideation. The goals?
• Help educate young adults about mental health issues and the importance of seeking care from professionals
• Confront the stigma of mental health that may prevent young adults from reaching out and seeking care
• Provide information, tools and peer resources to colleagues, members, customers, colleges and universities and mental health care providers
Also, Resources for Living (RFL) offers a variety of well-being services and support options for everyone, even for those not on an Aetna insurance plan. Young adults can call RFL at 1.833.327.AETNA (1.833.327.2386) for in-the-moment phone support.
If a young adult in your life is struggling, please don’t wait. Encourage them to seek professional help and go to http://aetna.com/TimeforCare to sign up for this free program.
